10 Utensils that will make life much easier in the kitchen
There's some things we can't do without - here's the ones for the kitchen. An easy guide to kitting out the kitchen.
1) Good quality chefs knife (the best ones cost around £60-£80 each but you can get very adequate knives for around £30)
2) Wooden spoon
3) Balloon whisk/magic sauce whisk (saves a lumpy sauce!)
4) Microplane grater (this never blunts and shaves through parmesan and lemon zest like a hot knife through butter!)
5) Good quality, heavy based, non-stick, frying pan (you probably shouldn't spend less than £40)
6) Chopping board
7) Colander/sieve
8) Apron (makes you look the part and keeps nasty oil splatters off that expensive suit or pair of jeans!)
9) Selection of about 3 saucepans in varying sizes
10) Roasting tin
